Saint Kateri Life Teen’s Mission Statement
Life Teen is a Catholic ministry that serves the Church and leads teens closer to Christ by providing an environment that leads High School teens into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and encourages vibrant Eucharistic celebrations and opportunities for teens to grow in their faith. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.
What is Life Teen?
Life Teen is open to ALL high school teens - teens do not have to be Catholic to attend. It is held almost every Saturday night after the Saturday 5:30pm Vigil Mass. Life Nights are held downstairs in Building B and include dinner, a fun game or skit, and a Core Member led teaching on a faith topic or teen issues. Teens are then given time to discuss the night’s topic in a small group setting and experience a prayerful send that helps connect the evening with their personal faith. Every 6 weeks or so, the Life Night is a Social. These socials could be playing a large group game like Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, or Minute to Win It, and sometime there are off-site events like Ice Skating. Many of the teens are walked down to by a Core Member immediately after the Life Night is over, as long as their parents have given permission via the Registration Form. Life Nights are free to attend, though we do have a suggested donation of $3 to cover the cot of dinner. Retreats are held twice a year during Winter and Summer, and they usually cost $135. No teen is ever turned away from attending a retreat due to the inability to pay. Payment plans and sponsorships are available.
